haha i just picked up a '95 geo metro for $300. in really good condition except for a little rust on one part of the frame and the gas tank leaks just a little bit. nothing too noticible. so... what to do with it now? haha it gets 45+mpg but i dont think im gonna drive it cause i already have a bike that gets that. i was thinking about chopping the top and rigging something up so i can put my dirtbike in it?? lol

A friend of mine chopped the top and basically made a huge go-kart. His dad runs a business working on cars out of the backyard pretty much and had all the equipment. He even put a roll cage on it, painted it "camo" green, and put a set of ITP mud tires on it. Thing was fun and terrifying at the same time

Hey Jessie,
You might want to re-think that cutting it up idea.
Check this out...

I have a white '95 Geo Metro LSi for sale. It has 85061 miles on it, but most of these miles were from being towed behind our motor-home so the number of actual miles on the engine would be far fewer. Price is $2950. Thanks for looking.

LOL...my buddy had one in college and his parent's house was at a private lake. We used it to get down to the beach and to wherever the party was that evening. We'd jump it and just beat the crap out of it and it always kept running.

That is a GENIOUS idea!

Maybe whip up a junk yard special for a turbo on it and just let it all hang out.. That would be intense!:macho

A friend of mine bought a metro after high school for 300 bucks. Put about 20000 miles on it, at 47 mpg avg. and literally drove it til one of the wheels fell off, which was the death of that car. He then sold it to a junker for 400 bucks. I say drive it til the wheels fall off and sell it. Don't cut it up or motor swap it. Get the good out of the car and kiss it goodbye.:p

Well there ya go - I guess weaver is only losing 2 mpg in gas while driving it w/ a gas leak

I say drive it and take advantage of the gas mileage.

We bought a geo tracker about a month ago to use as a woods beater. It was 500 and i think we got ripped off. 4wd works and thats all my dad needed. Every time we drive it something breaks or falls off of it.

The back window is duct tape, the spare is flat, all 4 tires are different brands, theres rust everywhere, the back hatch doesnt close, it starts when it wants to, the rear turn signal hangs out of it and pieces of the thing are laying all over the property. Last time my dad took it for a ride he slammed the door shut, bursted out laughing and said "what the hell was i on when i bought this thing?"

I had a 95. Bought it for $100 and beat the crap out of it in the woods. It lasted about an hour and then the clutch shattered. The junkyard gave me $300 for it cause it still ran :D

that is exactly what i was thinking. are they front or rear drive? i'd rig up a hyabusa engine to drop in the trunk of the care and make a 13000rpm rear drive screamer.
