I need help, Swingarm issue

is this actually part of the swing arm? the part that has a chunk missing
I pulled the swing arm and rear shock off of my 426 to replace swing arm bushings and the rear shock and this is what i found

So do i need a new swing arm or is that part of the bushing or what? it just sorta fell apart once i pulled it off the quad

You will need a new swinger. There is a metal cap with a rubber insert that fits snugly over that lip that is broken.

Mine chipped like that too. I got it to work somehow.. It's probably not the smartest idea but I just make sure it's greased very good all the time.

That's what mine looked like so I ended up getting a +1.5 swinger from ACE Fabrication for like 400 bucks.

I bought a blaster for my wife years ago, found out later that the ball joint on the a-arm was stripped. The guy just pounded a nut on with a hammer to make it look like it was bolted on.

This was a potentially deadly thing this guy did. Imagine running 6th gear wide open and your a-arm falling off. Needless to say, I really had to restrain myself from destroying this guys life.
