I was wondering what the difference would be between a $120 RAD Bearing Carrier and a $210 RPM Millennium Bearing Carrier?

How long should a good Carrier last?

Also i have an RPM axle.

I bought one of the east coast atv carriers that are on ebay for $116, I race A LOT .. a class MX , and its still holding up fine and my bikes get beat to hell and back, no bearing play at all, chain adjusts very easily.. no problems at all. They ship same day and the housing had lifetime warranty.

RAD probably has china bearings and the RPM probably has timkens or one of the other quality bearings.

We have been selling and installing RAD carriers for ten years and have never had a problem with one, great product

I used RAD's and have also used the similar Burgards all dual row carriers and never had any issues.

OEM and Baldwin are the only two that I know of that use a hardened steel spacer tube on the inside, all the others are mild steel. To my knowledge anyways...

I wouldn't bother with tapered bearings personally. They eat horsepower (if you're concerned with it).

i recently bought a Burgurd carrier. i hvae yet to install it. what are your feelings about about this carrier. the reason i bought the Burgurd is for the 3/8 chain adjustment.

I have a dual row Burgard in my bike. Had it since 2005 and have never had to replace bearings or anything. It was cheap so I know it has the cheap bearings in it. I do not want the tapered bearings. if your axle nut gets loose, you got problems.
