what is the average price to ship a 450r frame and subframe? what's the best shipper to go with? do you usually box them up sepreate or together? (frame and subframe). btw i'm in iowa. thanks

Most folks zip tie the subframe inside the main frame and shrink wrap, then ship using Fed Ex or UPS....Fed Ex being slightly cheaper

I just quoted with UPS, exactly as stated above and it was $148 without insurance...

Try Fed EX,,,UPS is always high

That was one way, I'll try FEDEX. I was estimating in the 60 to 70 range...

I had the frame bubble wrapped and shrink wrapped the crap out if then stuck it in a box that is just the right size.

45"x25"x21" they said if I shortened the 45" by 9" that this would fall under the "Special" handling fee and the price was around 76 bucks without insurance. But the frame without the subframe was 42"...

let me know how much it is becuse i'm sending mine this winter if it isn't too much. also can't you just bubble wrap an saran wrap it? od does it cost more if it isn't in a box like ups?
