honda 300ex smokes

my 1996 honda 300ex started smoking a few weeks ago out of the exhaust and keeps getting worse. i changed the oil and it still smokes. it smells like burnt oil, not fuel. are there any good additives like Lucas that i can try putting in it?

sounds like your valves are leaking and need to be resurfaced .Or your rings are wore.check compresstion .first check rings then valves.

well this is an old beater so i am not going to rebuild motor, just wanna know if their is a quick fix. My buddy has an old Yamamha that smoked so he put STP in it and it quit smoking, but engine started knocking a few months later so I dont know if it is ok to use some kind of oil additive.
