So where do I get a new rear sprocket for my Typhoon? Is it the same as another quad? Thanks

CRF50 and XR50 work. Here's a place that you can order the actual Typhoon sprocket from. They make them with the rubber dampners for the screws or without them. These are also quality aluminum.

Thanks guys. Can't see the need for the rubber dampers in the sprocket, mine were completely shot anyway. Just gonna get a CRF sprocket, lots of choices on gearing.

BTW, what gears are you guys with higher HP Typhoons running. Mine stock was 14/43. I thought I might try 14/38 to see how that worked as a starting point.

Depends on if you're racing and what type of racing you do. If you're just trail/dune riding it may be fine. If you're racing the gearing will probably be to tall for the 125 to spool up for any good acceleration.

Too tall? I figured the other way around. My daughter races XC in a local series on it. My new build will have about 12 HP.

So you're saying I should run something like 14/50? or 13/43? The snowhog rears were too short and I have moved up to a true 18" tire.

Trail riding you may be fine.... I can say that MX I'm sure it would be too tall. Jam never hits top speed with our 150cc 16hp motor with 14/45 gearing. We're also running true 18's on the rear.

On another note .......im sure not liking the gap between 2nd and 3rd....

Thanks, good info and not at all what I figured. I'll start with 13/39 and see how that goes(I have those sprockets already).

Hopefully you have the hp to pull it. If not, it's gonna take forever to reach top speed/rpms. Carb, airfilter, and a nice exhaust will help quite a bit as well.
