lead will tend to make the plug silver/white

as opposed to tan, 180 seems big?

i am almost positive it actually richens up the jetting with race fuel. but some people say it leans it because of the added oxygen in the fuel. i just went up in jetting as i went with a higher flow exhaust and reed cage when i had my yz and it ran great.

your best bet would be to contact VP racing fuels or whatever fuel brand your using. 117 and 93 seems to high.

personally 108 and 93 would do you just fine. you really dont want to go above 100 octane, your only at 11:1 right?

i would just jet it on pump and then mix it to race and see what your results are, i am at a 158 main cuurently

From experience the higher oct race fuels will "richen" it up.

YZ did you notice he is running the FCR? I am not sure how the 180 relates in that carb.

I am currently running between 178 and 185 on the main due to the cold weather but jetting has been a nightmare lately with the 20-30 deg temp changes, but mostly in the needle position cause it wants to be in the middle.

To answer the original question, what was that again :)

I hear that the plug color can change from brand to brand so calling the MFG of the feul is a good idea.

My local guy has VP114 and it seems to go from drk beige or brown to full black.

And yes it seems like too high a mix unless your actual comp is higher than the piston rating you gave.
