Those are 88/89's forsure, or something other than 250r. The 86/87's mount completely different. They have a plate with 2 bolt holts that mount to the frame like a 450r peg.

absolutely NOT for a 88/89. heres the 88/89's (top) and the 86/87's (bottoms). notice the difference in the mounting.

the 86/87's (that yours are) will mount to the 88/89 frame but they will be about 2 inches furhter away from the shifter and 1 1/2 inches closer to the frame.

and yes the 86/87's need a oem 2 bolt mounting flange to mount to the 86/87 frame.

need more pics? i have them mounted on my stock framed 87 and my 2009 88/89 style laeger

I have a set of 88-89 IMS Kickups I would be interested in trading for your 87 set.

They are missing something if they are 86/87's... I've seen alot of 86/87 250r's and they have a 2 bolt flange that mounts to the frame, not a pivot bolt like 88/89's.

yes troy you are correct...the 86/87's mount to the frame with an additional bracket. they 86/87 ims and stock pegs are held in that bracket with a pin. they also have a spring so they can pivot.
the mopunting bracket is an OEM part

troy look at the first pic i posted. note the difference in mounting area lengths.

Yeah, I think I see what you're saying those that YFZ shown were missing the 2 bolt flange plate. I should've looked a little more closely before I replied. My bad for the confusion!

wow, thats crazy the 88pegs will fit on the adapter plate for an 86.

does that mean that you could put 86 OEM pegs on a 88 and move the pegs back an inch or so?
