ltz 90 cdi

I dont have a service manual for my daughters 90, and I think the cdi is bad. It blows the fuse and the cdi gets hot instantaneously when you try and start it. Anybody know how to check the cdi. I havent torn into this thing yet to look for anything out of the norm as i havent had a chance to.

I do know those cdi's had issues, so that might be the problem. Is that bike still under warrenty?
