Hey guys i was told that it was gonna be around 1500 for cam and 440 big bore. is this bout right i thought it was a lil much. He said he would have to weld the rockers for it to last...? what do u guys think?

tim at t&s he does all my work for me, but i thought it was a lil much. i will pay it i just dont wan tto if theres a cheaper way u know.

i payed 1490, for 440, new white brothers cam, rockers, and the edelbrock carb. I even got screwed on the carb buy paying 490 for it... :ermm:

i got my big bore kit for $220 and i am getting my cam for 130 put it in myself about a 4 hr job

Ship it out here and I will save you $200.00 :) LOL

What you all have to remember is that these places do this work for a profit, and thats how they earn a living.

Now since the sport is so popular and most of the better builders are seriously swamped (or so you would think with the long lead times) so they now can basically ask whatever price they like. Think of it as if you were in there place and had more than enough work, would you be cuttin deals or making mad cash for new work you dont have time for.

You could also find some good info if you do a search since this has been gone over a few times b4.
