View Full Version : Little advice please trying to tell my friend his truck is a piece of shi+

okay heres the situation ive grown up with this kid were both 17, he dosnt have a job and his truck leaks oil like crazy i belaive its like a 1995 ? dodge dakota 2wd with around 190,000miles it looks like SHI+!! the outside has been spray painted with black and it feels like sandpapaper. the inside is not so great the doors are messed up windsheild is cracked and it smells funny if it gets hot. he has no job and selling it is his only way to get another car . he say KBB value is $2500 and thinks hell get like $2300 out of it im trying to tell him put it on craigslist for like $600 , ill try and get some pics i know you guys will get a laugh out of it. what should i say? im trying to stay out of it but hes got like diaherra of the mouth about this thing,

I wouldnt pay 300 bucks for that thing...Let him try and sell it for the price he wants, he will stop trying after people openly laugh at him.

Also as a mechanic I wouldnt buy a dodge :p

Yea I run into this a lot buying stuff that needs work to fix and flip, some people think their junk is worth top dollar. Some people can't be convinced either.

ive sold **** thats worth about 500 for 2400. theres an *** for everyseat

that and i could sell a car to a blind person :D

yep. he'll realize one day if he actually wants to sell it he'll ask a price people are willing to pay. until then he can live in his fantasy world.

just like how I saw a guy on craigslist asking $2800 for a pretty much stock 2003 z400.

But then you see a 1999 Yamaha SRX700 for $1000 and you realize there's two ends of the spectrum!

are u saying 1000 for the yamaha is low? cuz i think thts anaverage price for that. around here u could swing 800 maybe 750 for a 99 vmax

i **** you not i argued with this car dealer ship today about a stock 2004 z-400 , he wanted $4800, i started laughing honestlly thinking he was kidding, and he got pissed and tryed to keep me there to explain "true value these days"
