One last question, can you get old decals off clean with a heat gun, or do you have to pritty much just buy new fenders to replace the decals? Thanks

Good job!!!
Heat will always help when it comes time to pull decals. Patience is the #1 key though.
Looking good man!!!

If you're talking about taking all the Duncan graphics off, don't do it! I really like the way it looks now! Sweet quad!

Very Nice Quad.
I would also keep the decals, I have the very same set brand new ready to put on my rebuild trx.

I was thinking of doing something like that but wasn't sure if that would weaken the frame or not? Thanks

You can use the 86 style mounts which wrap aroung the frame. No welding. Great to use if everything is already panted.

Went to to local Honda dealership one day with the 86 shroud mounting bracket looking to get a set for a frame I had recently purchased. People take them off for PC and end up losing them. The dealer looked at the microfiche for about an hour and sadly told me they did not exist. WTF?

Being an avid 250R fanatic I was determined to get that problem solved. Over the next couple months copying the OEM bracket perfectly in spare time seemed real fun since they did not exist elsewhere. The OEM bracket is made of steel and anodised that green color. These ones are 2 sided mirror finshed stainless steel. Since it wraps around the frame it is seen from the outside and inside. These were developed for show bikes so they are repolished after forming and welding.

But who on earth was looking for a part that did not exist? Kinda hard to sell if you see my point. You cannot buy them from Honda and I cannot sell them on here yet. Kind of a dillemma from my point.

I consider all the 250R folllowers my bretheren. If anyone needs a bracket then I will send him a set so these bikes will live on to eternity. The only way to sell these are word of mouth. I do pay trx250r.net to advertise so they can be gotten over there. Here I will send you the parts for free if you pay shipping. PM me to get set.

Did you get your waterpump seal to stop leaking?

I didn't get the water pump leak to stop I Talked to 250RTRIKES and I shipped it back to them for them to re-build. There doing all the work for free and I just have to pay for parts. There really good people to buy from. The water pump sat around for 4 month and the mechanical seal probley dryed out, I also sent my rear brake calip. to get chromed. They do great chroming. I'll PM you for info. on those brackets. Thanks

same theme in deed, I'm thinking of getting razers for mine to, so I can go to 20in on the back. I have 8in rear so there isn't much options for tires. What size are your font and backs? and how you like the Razers? Nice looking quad..Good minds think alike lol
