Throttle stuck at 1/4 throttle

I have an 05 450r with the stock carb and it will get hard to push at 1/4 throttle and then easy the rest of the way. we put a new cable on it and cleaned out all the linkage parts. you can push past it if you press hard but it is definitely is noticeable. we have taken off the carb before.

Funny... Mine does the same thing. Just haven't taken the time to track it down... I just push past it when It happens. Only happens on the trails not when I'm in the garage. It's getting hooked on some thing. My guess would be something on the slide is binding.

yea i can't get it to do it in the garage. we have tried to track it down be we cant figure it out. i haven't checked the slide yet.

check out the whole accelerator pump. mine did the same thing, the shaft for the pump had corrosion on it and made it do the same thing your saying

I was thinking that yesterday... You can feel the acc pump with the 1/4 throttle movement. I figured that might be the issue... I'll have to check mine.
