Exhaust header weld mod

Well I figured since I had the bike apart and while waiting for my cylinder head to be done I would give it a shot. I didn't realize how much weld was actually in there ecspecially when I started grinding. I only had one good shot of before the other pipe was worse than this one. Jim

This is afterwards I don't know if it really makes a power difference but it makes me feel better that its cleaner. Jim

I couldn't believe it either! I just finished grinding mine last night.Now I'm sanding the outside to paint it. I hope I can tell the difference with those welds out of the way, some of them were almost a 1/4 inch thick.

Yeah the welds in mine where crazy to some areas where real thick. As far as painting them I used that grill high temp paint it looks nice and no bubbles yet.

Yeah I used that high temp paint too. It was a shame tho because the pipe looked so good when it was all sanded,
