Engine Number

Hi all,

i recently bought a honda 400ex "supposedly" i searched the internet with the vin and have found the frame is from a trx350fm and im now looking for the engine number to see if it is an 400 motor so i was wonderiung where the number is, if it has one, it has the 400ex plastics and everything else to suggest its a 400ex but im having my doubts

Im not actually looking at mine but, on the cylinder on the left side I think? there should be a number like 397cc I think its there somewhere....left or right side?

i have never seen or heard of a trx 350fm i didnt think honda made one of them.

The trx350fm is the the 4x4 fourtrax Rancher. LOL, Is your 400ex a 4x4 ????

Sorry bout that lol. we will be able to tell you if it is a 400ex motor or not though. I wanna see this frame for sure though. steve

its not a 4x4 but i forgot to metion that to get the vin decoding thing to fit i had to change the first digit but i had my doubts about what digit it was it was a "Y" but in the poor light i wasnt sure but again looking under decent lighting it says "Y" not 4 oh and sorry no pics
