first motocross race

im gonna have my first race on the 25th of july its only a county fair race. i can jump but my biggest jump was prob 30 ft and it was at the dunes im a great rider just never raced like this. what should i expect. and any tips. i have a 03 426ex setup but im running 10 inch rear rims instead of 8s does the tire sie really matter in a beginner class

i would just take it easy in your practice and size up the jumps..i've heard alot of horror stories from county fair races !! lol as far as your wheels go..r u running 18" tires on the 10" rims? i would keep the pressure in check, so you don't blow the tire off the bead..but you should be fine.
