View Full Version : Interchangeability of rear hubs
Are 250X rear hubs the same as 300EX hubs, the same as 400EX hubs? (IE, are they all the same and interchangeable?
Thanks!

depends on the year of the 250x. Most of the 250x's used the same as most honda's, the first few years were different in several ways. Maybe the rear hubs were.

1987 250x front hubs had a different bolt pattern but the rear hubs were the same as the 300ex,400ex,450r.

Thanks for the input.
Just one more Q....
The hubs should be able to fit the axle of a 400EX as well (ie the splines on the hub will match up with the splines on the axle)?
Thanks!

some hondas are 24 spline count and others are 25 spline count.

also the 350x was 25 spline, for some reason a friend of mine had a 250x that used a 25 spline hub also. Maybe he had a 350x axle in it. It was fairly common to put in a 350x motor, swingarm, shock and axle in 250x/300ex's. His was one of the first year 250x's.
Has anyone ever tried putting the hub from a 250X onto a 400EX axle?
It sounds like it will fit except for the last post.
