yes, its the exact same engine with a few more cc's, so will a TRX90 motor, a pitster pro motor, or any other knock off pitbike engine, every one of them has CRF50 mounts.

What's the best pitbike to get? There are so many out, or you could build your own using a crf as a starting platform. I remember guys were taking the whole scene really serious, are there still guys out there doing freestyle with them and stuff? The scene blew up in popularity and then disappeared.

I know Dana Creech has a track he uses for his minis but I forget what he uses. I think its way bigger than a 50 though.

Rollie, how much does something like that run all done up for adult sized riders? I'm afraid to ask lol

I'd say Honda 50 is the way to go because parts are easy to get and there are alot of mods for em:devil:

no competition in my eyes, a honda 50 in stock form is absolutely no fun, if you want to ride around in the yard and stuff its fun i guess, but if you want to actually do moto's race it, or go out on the trails for a day, its wayyy to small and underpowered, even if you put a 88 big bore on it, 3rd gear tapped is the same as 2nd gear tapped on a bone stock KLX haha, not to mention the KLX frames are damn near impossible to bend/break, whereas if you even lightly jump a 50, after a while its going to be choppered wayyy out. you can make a fifty just as good and fun as a KLX is though, but with alot more money.

Depends what you want to spend, you can get a KLX used for anywhere from $400 to $1000(i wouldnt pay more than 1000 for a used one) so say you get one for $600, if you get stiffer springs and XR50 bend pro tapers, you've spend a total of about $800 and you can moto it all day long, in stock form the motor is really reliable and has enough power to have plently of fun, and plenty of suspension to do the same, if you want to go crazy with it, you can build it into a stock/mod, like mine, 143 big bore, manual clutch, works rear shock and so on, i bought mine for $400 and have about $2400 into it roughly, or you can go CRAZY and call up BBR, and end up with something like this, hahahah this will be up around $12,000 :p

^^^ whaaaaat i love my 50, it gets ridden wayyy more than my quads ever did. my cousin had a klx, idk i didnt care for it. also with a pirhanna 90 motor, 50s are even more fun

best pitbike to get is the pitster x2, x4 and lxr. also a few of the ssr's

Thanks rollie!! Not as bad as I thought. Yeah I'd want something I can sit on semi comfortably and ride around and do some jumps with. A 50 seems like its cool to ride around your backyard for 20 minutes but thats it lol

haha yeah thats how i feel, you can actually go out for the day on the trails and have alot of fun on 110's

Also the Pitster's are good bikes, but if you get one, make sure you take it apart and Loctite all the bolts, they are notorious for bolts just falling out, that and the dealer network is very small, if you need something for a KLX, any kawi or suzuki dealer can get it for you, other than that the pitsters are good bikes, i guess its just personal preference, or maybe i like pitbikes too much, haha:D

haha I've always liked them but the amount of money people put into the 50's to make them fun seems like way too much. A stockish 110 is more reasonably priced and seems like more bang for the buck and like you said, its a mini dirtbike so parts are easy to find.

I'd definitely get a 110 if anything

You're bike looks AWESOME btw. I shouldn't stare too much or I'll be bankrupt :p

X2 I love my 110 I don't get to ride it much more but I have a Big Bar Kit, HD rear and front springs, exhaust, hydraulic clutch, oversized pegs, mod done so you can drift start.

You can easily spend each paycheck on them but I bought mine brand new and then put all the aftermarket stuff on it, I would never get a 50 they are to small and not comfortable I can take my 110 out on the trails I rode my quad on all day long and be comfortable.

I wouldn't buy any knock off pitbike it's just the risk you take getting junk.

z's are a blast.. by far my fav heres me on my old one yrs back before the 110 craze...id rather have a built to the limit crf 70 over a klx 110...the 110 is just a better cheap ride..they always feel heavy in the corners compared to a 70
