Oiling A Uni-filter

I have always oiled my filters but with the 2 stage uni-filter do you need oil?

I oil them .

I only oil the outer layer and the end of the inner part since that is exposed also.

nooooo, thats not how you do it.

You need to spray down the filter with oil, cover it completely. Then after it sits for a few minutes you need to squeeze it in. Then put the outer layer over it without oil on the outer.

Oil the filter, There is no logical reason not to oil it but plenty of reason to oil it.

Spray it completely then squeeze the filter to work the oil in to the foam.
