My son's 2006 Apex MXR 90 is getting tired. He's been racing it for 3 years now, and his wonderful dad has never even replaced the piston or rings in it. It needs some freshening up and some more power.

What I'd like to do is get some porting done on it and maybe bump it up to a 100cc or something. He's 10 yrs old and mainly races mx with it. I plan on keeping him on it for maybe one more year, so I don't want to dump a whole ton of money into it. The races he does are just local, so we're not in it to win at any cost.

I did put the DC slipper clutch on it last year and have since quit busting tranny gears, so it should be able to handle a bit more power.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions on shops and motor/clutch set ups to get this thing pumped back up.

Could you PM me his contact info? If he's somewhat local, that's a bonus!

Probably a bore job and power porting. New roller weights.
