Will the 450R a-arms, spindles, brakes and stock length shocks bolt onto a 250R chassis? Has anybody tried it?

I thought I read that it will work, if that's the case do I need to use 450R tie rods or the 250R ones? I don't have either right now so either way is fine.

Last but not least are there any differences in the front half of the frame between the 86-87 and 88-89 models?

Any help would be great!

A-arms will not work, but some of the other stuff will.:D

Thanks for the link. It sounds like quite a bit will interchange.

Is there really any advantage or disadvantage of the a-arm mounts being moved +1 on the 88/89 models?

I also read that the 450R shocks will fit but are stiffer and raise the ride height. Can the 450R shocks be valved or maybe use different springs to get them close or am I better off just finding some 250R shocks?

The stock 450R shocks are pretty good on the 450R and probably cheaper/easier to find so that's why I am thinking about using the 450 parts.

How about the tie rods, will either work with the 450R hubs and spindles?

How much do they raise the ride height, an inch or so?

i have 450r shocks on mine as well. i did a mini review on how they worked for me a while back. try looking up '450r shocks ride report'... are you considering this on stock a arms?
