rear plastic mount broke

I was changing the oil on it yesterday and was that the mount for the rear plastic ( on the plastic) by the grab bar was cracked so that the hole for the bolt where the rubber gromet goes in was opened up. I'm pritty sure it's from just plain old over tightening it but i was wondering if anybody else had this problem and how i could fix it.

I was thinking of just bending the bracket a little more upwards then drilling another hole farther up, then putting some spacers left over from a sway bar to off set it for the old mount

Ours did the same thing...
I just cut the oem plastic mounts off, and bent some small angles of aluminum and riveted them to the fender.
