Any reviews on these tires?

Cheng Shin Ambush Race / Desert Tires

$200 for a set of four is cheap.

I am used to riding on ITP Holeshot XCs
Front 22x7-10
Rear 20x11-9

Anyone have any ideas?

you should like them they are very similar to holeshots and razors, most people say there ok.

Thats kind of what I have been reading. And they are a lot cheaper.

If anyone is using them please let me know how you like/dislike them.

I think I will be ordering them this week if no one has anything negative to say about them. I really like the Hole Shots but they wear really fast.

For $200 they are worth a shot I guess.

thats odd with holeshots that they wear fast a friend and i both have had a set of HD's and they lasted over 4 years even with road riding. the xc could be dif thow. i ride alot and mine go through some rocky stuff and lasted quite well for the price they should. what ply tire are they? i love the kenda klaws even after running holeshots and razrs and everything else, the klaws seem to bite better in every situation for me. and there about 62 a tire rear and a little less for the fronts, the xc is a six ply and very strong, very very strong tire i have a set on a 400ex and my ltr450. just saying. btw i ride track, rocky rutted woods and everything i can get my wheels on. lol :D

Yeah I guess this past year I did a lot of road riding so maybe that is the reason they seemed to wear fast. I had kenda klaws on my banshee and loved them. I am just looking for a cheap but good tire that can handle anything and stylish. I really like the look and feel of the XC's I have heard very good things about the razrs but the prices seemed high when I looked. Where did you find them for $62 a tire?

You can't go wrong with these at all. I've been running them for a long time and they are killer. A little more than what you you found at $266 total but that is a heck of a deal for what you get. I'd bet they'd last longer than those others too.

So is Cheng Shin a knock off of Maxxis or are these the same exact tires?

4wheelparts calls it the Maxxis CST, so maybe thats Cheng Shin Tire.

Makes sense. The tire looks identical and the price is comparable.

i've had really good luck with knock off's. If you can find a good wearing one for your applications its alot cheaper than payin sixty a tire which is ridiculous! I've been running a new duro tire on my bike and it's worked out awesome! and for only 30 bucks!

yes CST is chin shin tire

and chin shin makes maxxis so its the same tire...........

Thanks for the info. I will probably be buying those when I decide to get a new set of tires. I am going to pick up a set of used rears for now.
