My timing chain jumped only one tooth thats what the dealer said is there a risk of wacking a valve?

Certainly dont run it any more, find out what wore to make the chain jump, They don't normally just do that......

the dealer only said it jumped one tooth thats about it ran ok but was vary hard to start i just hope i didnt slap a valve

no they said theres a chance of hitting a valve just wondering dont trust them

get a new timing chain, i hate the them in the preds ive been through a few, they like to stretch, getting ready to rebuild mine with some new rings may throw one in just for safe measure not really that hard to change

do you think theres any valve damage though didnt run it vary long

depending on what cam was off due to the the timing chain slipping, id say no, one thing you might want to look at though, is the possibility of the cam sprocket actually turning on the cam itself. since its not on splines or anything it can turn and throw the cam off time

cam chain or tensioner but if you have to replace one just replace both IMO.....Ive never seen one tooth make all that much difference
