new frame question???

i'm thinking of building a 450r from the ground up for the first time but had a question i'm sure someone here could help me with. if i buy a new frame from the factory or aftermarket frame maybe, will it come with a vin number and title on it so that i can insure it or will it be blank? if it is blank, can i get it titled somehow to insure it or am i screwed? any help would be great, thanks guys.

It should come with a MSO, manufacturers statement of origin, which you will take in to get a title made for it.

lonestar racing frames come with a certificate of orgin with a serial # on the frame. you would just take the certificate to the dmv and they would get you a title.

Honda will not sell you a frame unless you have currently own a 450R and are replacing a damaged frame. There is a special form Honda provides to dealers for the sale of frames and cases halves, which asks for the owners name, drivers licence number, social security number, and vin of the vehicle, among other things.
