LT80 with no spark

My son's LT80 will not fire. Had to run it with the choke on the last few times he rode, now it will not fire at all. The plug is new and the coil was tested (it is good). Is there a history of trouble with the CDI module or mag on these quads? Anyone had this same trouble and if so what fixed it?

Running with the choke on has nothing to do with having spark.
Do a compression check and also see if it is getting spark.

had to run ours on choke for a while - a tiny piece of air filter foam got into the carb and clogged the pilot jet - darn mice!!
