Temp question ??

[FISH ON!]

We just picked up a new Raptor 250. We went for a good run in 95 degree weather this afternoon and it ran great. My son is loving it and it's only stock for now. Decided to check temps since this machine is new to us and it has been 25 years since I had an air cooled machine. Shot it with a cheap temp gun and got 285 degrees at the head by the spark plug and 243 on the cylinder cooling fins. Seems hot to me but are we in the ball park for these air cooled machines?

I never checked temps just run the snot out of it. I know this does not help. Crap it's under warranty" Let it rip" :devil: Derek
