450xc or yfz450r

in a pickle, want some opinions.... i can get a 08 450xc ktm for 4100 or a 09 yfz450r for 4500 both are pretty clean and were raced (the yfz450r was raced more than the ktm was)... the ktm has the factory ktm nerfs and ktm bumper everything else is stock... the yfz450r has a brand new frame (and a decent shape extra frame) full gytr exhaust new take off wheels and tires and front end with a powercommander and quadtech seat they are both really clean but i just dont know which one i want to get... i do mostly trail riding and no racing so the reverse would be awesome and i would probably end up putting a 540 kit on the ktm just want some opinions from other people on which one is a better quad and why thanks in advance for the input

wow thats one to not even think about, clearly the ktm:D. its probably the best on the market now

thats what im leaning towards but ive had 2 people tell me the yfz450r would be my best bet

out of how many? The KTM is clearly the better choice, i mean.. just look at the tires it has, RAZR, while the yamaha still has its terrible old dunlops.

they are bolth great quads in every respect, but thats the thing the yfzr is for the track the ktm is for the trail. so it realy doesnt matter whick bike you buy but for trail riding the ktm would be hard to beat.

lol the tires? dude the bike has an adjutable axle, camber and castor adjustable a arms, four piston calipers in the front with steel braded lines, the bar positions are adjustable. the clutch is hydrolic. its got the best stock exhaust on the market and is still probably making more power than the yfz, fully adjustable ohlins shocks front and back, the simplest air filter design in the sport(and its almost impossible to suck water into the intake cuz of it), chromoly swingarm. two different ignition curves. a tether kill switch from the factory. this bike is built from the factory. it bests the yfz in all catagories

04 05 yfz cranks are bad the 06 and up are fine.

yea about everything was fixed in 06 and there was an update in 07 to something else also
between yfz450r and ktm 450
i've sat on both and lightly rode ktm
and i'd take the ktm in a heart beat if i was woods racing with it. Moto or anything more wide open i'd be on the Yamaha my old yfz was revvier and liked it more to be opened up so i can only imgine what a newer fi would be like.
