Go buy a Arens Bros. Rolling Chassis($2500...So he Said) then Buy a Baldwin 450 engine($4000....Give or Take) That is $6500. You now have a full chassis and engine and you still have about 2000 bucks to spend on:

Front and Rear Shocks-$1400
Beadlocks(on Back)-$210
Rims and Tires(Rims on Front)$250
Nerf Bars, Handle Bars, Axle, Hubs, Spindles, Calipers, Air Box, Pipe, Filter(Use some of the money for mods that you had set aside for this stuff)

You will be around $9,000-$9,500 for a Full BMS-CRF450F

Good Idea In My opinion.

get the crf, i'm starting to want to go to bikes but I don't think I will because i'm so dang good at quads. I just loved not having to worry about what the quad will do and how it will react to everything.

Naw buy a CRF450 Frame from LSR racing and chassis componets, then get a 450f motoer from service honda and that will aobut cover your 8600 bucks but u will ahve one bad *** quad.

It costs a lot more than 8600 bucks to build a crf quad.
