i run what they call a tymer on my 7.3. basically a 4" 45 degree bent pipe hooked to 6377 filter. been on there for years and works great

I'll ck into it but I already spent the $ on the K&N - I really just want a foam filter

:chinese: maybe my sparks filter will work
I'm havin a hard locating that 6377 filter on the web.

FOAM FILTERS SUCK!!! On an automotive vehicle why would you need a foam? Look at what all the racers are running? Youll be kicking youself in the ***, I had a foam filter on my car and guess what after years it crumples to ****, K&N forever going strong.

Flewby,
I don't know if you have a 7.3 ford diesel but the K&N is worse than the OEM filter. It doesn't seal to the box lid....it's a drop in.

my suggestion, get a custom or get a cone.

It works great. I have had the filter for about a year and have just hit it against the concrete (lightly) a couple times to get all the big chunks of dust out.

Im thinking of making a metal tube eventually to dress it up a little.
