TRX250EX Longer Shifter

Anybody know where to get a longer shifter for a 2008 TRX250EX? My son will be a size 14 soon. Need more room! I raised the shifter 1 tooth but have not tried it yet. He may not like it. I thought about having someone weld a piece on it in the middle to extend it about an inch. Any other ideas?

im at about a size 13 and mine still works fine. do you still have the heel guards on?

Sorry for the late reply. The heel guards are still on. Totally stock. Is it safe not to have them on? My son is 6' 3" and is not quite 13 years old yet. Still a size 13 for now. Do you have your shifter in the stock position? Thanks for your help!

Im about 6'1 and i run no heel guards and AC Racing nerfs and honestly i havent really had a problem. its up to you. It can hurt you if your foot slips off but when you get used to it, its really not that bad
