My cousin bent the axle on his 2001 300EX and we're lookin to replace it. The Axcaliber axle looks like a good way to go. It has that lifetime warranty against bending and breaking. Anyone deal with them?

That's the axle I've got for my Raptor, they're awesome. They'll fix or replace the axle for ANY reason as long as the axle doesn't have abnormal wear on the bearing surface. So in other words, as long as you do normal maintenance on the bearings Lonestar will do right by you no matter how it got bent (I even think the warranty card says hitting a tree or landing a big jump wrong). Durablue's warranty is some sort of 1 time replacement and then after that it's on a sliding scale as to how much you have to pay to replace it. It's not a true lifetime warranty like LSR's. You absolutely can't go wrong with the LSR axle.

I would get an RPM. LSR's are the next best, but i like RPM a bit better. That will be my next axle, my LSR is bent.

I recomend RPM as well, i have one on my quad and i've been in a few nasty tumbles, but it doesn't even have a scratch. RPM has a lifetime warrenty too. They will replace no matter what. I have a RPM axle carrier too! I think RPM makes great products. They are nice people too, when i called to order my axle the guy was so cool, and he told me he would send me a bunch of stickers and one of those HUGE trailer stickers, and sure enough, when i opened the box, i pulled out the huge sticker. I WOULD NEVER BUY DURABLUE........my friends snapped, and i've seen at least 3 others break as well. Everyone i've seen broke right where the snap ring goes. But i haven't heard anything bad about LSR, If RPM wasn't around i would buy a lonestar.

I would recommend the LSR over anything. Speaking of the RPM, how much do they want for them?????? I know there not cheap!!! If your serious about the LSR the best price I found was at Denton for 310.00 and believe it or not I got it in a couple of days.

Hey Guy,
Up there at Kames in North Canton they were pretty cheap. I think they wanted 329 for them. I think that's where i'm going to get mine

How much was it to have your rear shock converted? I`ve heard a lot of good things about RPM. I`ll either get RPM or Durablue.

WarriorMan, do yourself a favor and stay away from Durablue. While their strength can be argued (some swear by them, others swear at them), their lifetime guarantee cannot. It's not a true replacement warranty. It's a one time replacement and if it bends after that you've got to pay to have it replaced from there on out!! I don't know what kind of lifetime warranty that is but with RPM or LSR it's a lifetime guarantee, no questions asked and no cost out of your pocket.

Hott440, there's collars that you either put on the inside or outside of the hubs. You put the collars on the inside of the hub and it widens the axle to it's furthest extent. You put the collars on the outside and it's at it's narrowest. The splines are extra long for the hubs so this allows you to move them in or out depending on your preference.

so you just pull the hub off and move the collars? that sounds easy enough...
