what is to best extended a-arms/suspension combo for a 92 250x that isnt too much money

ok i was looking through some threads and some people were saying that 400ex shocks will fit on a 250x...is this true and how much wider are they than stock X a-arms. also if i got these what kind of shocks should i go with if this works that arent too much money.

Ive got some stock 250R shocks for sale $75.

ok if i got a pair of 400ex a-arms would the 250r shocks work with them without any modifications and are they rebuildable shocks

The 250r shocks work with the 400ex a arms with out any mods..but you have to compress the shocks to get them on. This translates into a rough ride. I would get the 400ex a arms and have works or elka make a shock for the 300ex with 400ex a arms.. thats what im going to eventually do.
