it slipped my mind upon purchasing my top end gasket set. i think i can probably use it. it's only 2 mm. wonder if the machine shop can do it when they are boring out cylinder. never heard of it but hey this is a forum after all.

Are you asking if it will fit? IF so then yes. They arent resleeving it with a bigger sleeve so it fits just the same.

thanks drew, hey i remember you from a ways back. if i can recall you are quite the connoisseur. it makes me feel better hearing that cause i am replacing a cylinder cause it was leaking and i was running the same thing there. i just wasn't going to admit that. just incase that was my problem for the head gasket leaking. i had to by a new cylinder. my front bolt would not hold. at all!!!! so i eventually broke down and did the right thing. purchased new jug.

It will fit, but a 400 gasket on a 416 jug? That doesn't sound like it would work to me. Maybe I'm missing something.:ermm:

I think he is asking if the hole will be the same size or such.

Answer to that is: No, it wont be. You need a 87mm (416cc) gasket set. I got mine from cometic

I have ran my 85mm gasket in my 416 for 2 years so whatever you decide to do you will be fine. steve

Not the "perfect" gasket to run but should be fine. I would not run that gasket with any bigger bore regardless of the sleeve!

hell i guess you are all smarter than me cause i totally spaced the sleeve gasket. but yeah it wouldn't matter. you can't bore the outside of the sleeve.lol. i just wanted to know if it was cool on the head. due to compression escaping issues. i ain't skeered now. thanks.
