So I have no spark and want to remove the wire harness. Question is do I remove the entire harness except the wires coming from the stator?

Wire Harness Bypass

wires (blk w/red & wht w/red) from the stator and plug them directly into CDI box (same color wires).
CDI wires (plug orange and black) Run orange wire to hot lead on coil and ground the black wire.
The black wire left on the CDI goes to a ground.
Make sure to run ground from engine to frame.
If you have an aftermarket Kill Switch- Run 1 lead to ground and other wire to hot lead on coil. Be careful not to run hot lead on coil to wire on killswitch that runs to the metal exposed part of the killswitch.

This might help ya.

Take everything out and add a tether switch. use your cdi and coil.

gotta ask. I have the same problem-no spark. Saw the link on g-force on how to remove the harness but why? what does this do? I removed the key switch cause I heard they were junk. But what does the wiring harness do that I can eliminate it?

Another question. How do I check the stator to see if it is good? Running a w/c 70.

thanks
