Sorry if i did a repost but i couldnt find any info on what tires people are running on the coal hills in trevorton. hear about people runing paddle tires but i aint sure if i really need them to do some of the big hills.
In preparation to go there I got kenda klaw xc, people say if you flip them around (they are dual tread) they work excellent in the loose coal.

If you have the power to pull em, TSL Vampires are all those guys run besides paddles. If not them, I would look into a set of GBC Gators or Mudsharks. They don't make the Mudsharks no more but you might still be able to find a set. Any of those tires will work better then a holeshot/razr type tire on the loose coal but they are very heavy.

The razrs last a very long time in coal. Mine are finally getting pretty low after 10-15 trips, and I ride extremely hard, always spinning and sliding.
My holeshots hooked up a little better but did not last very long at all

I had a set if I razr tires,6 ply and they got cut some how. The tires worked ok. I run AMS Aerospeed paddles on coal hill and I can climb anything i want. i use those paddles on my 400ex and my 250R. They have been holding up pretty good too

That coal is like razor blades. I've had alot of different tires and only the mud tires hold up good when hillclimbing. The race tires cut and chunk real bad.
