suspension?

My 400EX is stock when it comes to suspension. All I have added is a Eliminator 2+2 axle. What would be my best bet for the front. I have $500. I wish I could swing for both a-arms and shocks but I can't right now. I'm thinking shocks would be better because I'm not sure that +2 arms would work with stock shocks.

front shocks then +2 a-arms. if you do a-arms first the front will be soft.

i had +3 a-arms with stock shock 4 ever then i got pep zps!
