i am setting up a new stage 6 cylinder on a 50 what is the minimum squish ? and at what point does it start to bring on other problems like crank or rod failure if at all ?? thanks

between .028 and .031 I have one that came out fat because the machine shop did not shave off what I told them to and it is .037 and it still runs fine. I would like to redo mine though and get it to .030!

I was one of those 90 people who looked but I dont own a 50, so I thought it best not to comment...hope this helps:D :devil:

We set ours up at .031, runs strong. You won't notice a difference if you fall in the .28-.35 range. We shaved the head and used a stock DRR head gasket rather than the gasket that comes with the kit, DRR gasket was thinner. Get your clutch and gearing right and it will run with em. Matt.
