works triple rate shock question

does anyone know how to adjust works triple rate shocks? i just got the bike and the guy had the front shocks as stiff as they could go and i cant for the life of me figure out how to soften them up a bit.

What adjustments do you have? A pic would help. Also, what did the previous owner have them on: bike, a-arm length, rider weight, etc. You should be able to reduce preload on the springs (press down top collar and move up snap ring). You can also remove or rearrange crossover spacers, but you'll get a lot of body roll if you remove too much.
