will a 450r rear shock fit 250x

my 250x rear shock is trashed i need to replace but want to upgrade.

here are some that i hear may fit

1.raptor 660 01 other years fit but not good
2.banshee rear shock-have to heat up and dent airbox
3.warrior rear shock-not much of an upgrade

tell me if i am wrong on any of the above

also let me know if any or all of these will fit

1.trx450r rear shock
2.250r rear shock
3.400ex shock

and any others you may know about

The warrior and banshee shocks are an inch too short. Non of the Honda's you listed would even bolt up (fork style bottom mount). The 660 shock though is exactly the right length and has the right mounts.

How much better is the raptor rear shock?

A lot better. The Honda is a total POS. See if you can find an 01 raptor shock and it will have a remote resi. Once you get it mounted up make sure you set the sag or it could feel a tad stiff.
