Thermostat

I just noticed that a 450 I bought is missing the part that goes over the thermostat on the head. Is this ok to ride like that?

if its missing the thermostat housing cover then no coolant would stay in, so no

It doesn't look like the cover is there like itshould be - coming out of the little wiring pack right there. Do I have to rewire one in?

if you are refering to the wire that plugs into the thermostat housing, it is probably plugged into the harness ground somewhere, or grounded on the frame. Many people do that to make the fan run all the time. I did it 4 years ago and havent looked back.


If you were missing the thermostat housing and you didnt notice that, turn in your quad to your local dealership now :o
