belt noise

I have about 1700 miles on my 03 prairie 650. I get a heck of alot of noise out of the CVT belt clutch. I put a new OEM belt on some thing? My belt light is on as well? Any one can you help me? Doyou have to reset something to get ur belt light to go off?HELP PLEASE???Thank you

I haven't had to mess with my brute force yet but i think there is a switch in there that when the belt loosenes up it hits it and sets the light off.
