High idle after installing a thumb throttle?

I bought the quad with a twist throttle. Got a stock throttle and good cable off a bud. Put it on and now it idles high? I adjusted the cable ontop of the carb and at the throttle. I also got the idle screw out farther and it still idles high?

I need to fix her before saturdays ride.

do you have any slack in the cable at all?

is it a stock carb or could it be a 400ex carb?

Got it. My carb is a stock 300ex carb. It was the throttle binding and now shes back to a+ running!
