Where can you get aftermarket hoses for an '86: any aftermarket parts store/website/O.E. dealer. I just got a set of the CV4 silicone hoses for my '86 from this site sponsor C&D Racing for $117. I believe that there are about 3 other aftermarket companies that make hoses for the 250R as well. Just go post in the C&D thread towards the bottom of the main forum page or give them a call at: 402-614-2508

You could go to Lowes in the plumbing section and buy the nylon reinforced 3/4 clear hose and make your own for less than 10 bucks. Then use an antifreeze that is the color you want.

i saw some cv4 hoses on ebay and it said they were only for an 87-89 250r then i went to their website and i went to coolant section for the 250r and they didnt have any, is there any different between the motors and radiators between all 4 yrs?

same for all years. the lowes hoses work good. you just got to keep them from touching the exhaust or other hot spots. otherwise they work great.

Before you go spending $117 to find they don't work, I can tell you that the 86/87 hoses are different than the 88/89.

However if you get the 88/89 radiator or aftermarket one, it will work fine.

The spouts on the the 86 are angled and the spouts on the 88 are straight.

Confirmed!!, I've got Dan's 86 and my 89 side by side and the 86 radiator is different from 89 in the way the sputs are on the radiator...

I went to a discount auto parts store. Showed the guy what I was looking for. He let me go to the back of the store, and look through all the different pre bent hoses. I found hoses that were a perfect bend. $10.00 out the door. :macho
