help shock rebuliding

im trying to replace the seal in a rear shock on a rm250 and need some help. i got the both the snap rings out but cant get the seal to come out. its is really corroded and hasnt been rebuilt in the last 20 years.. i already tried compressed air and hooking up a brake resivoir. anyone have any tips? any help would be appriciated.

Do you mean you can't get the seal out of the seal head, or you can't get the seal head out of the shock body? If it's the latter, clamp the clevis in a vice and use a plastic dead blow to pound the shock body upwards. Keep the body straight as you pound so you don't bind it.
