My 400ex was having a wiring issue and it was draining the battery so the other day i bought another harness. i had to cut a few wires to make it work with everything because the guy that had the fourwheeler b4 me cut off some of the terminals and just spliced the wires togethor. so i put the new harness on and hooked everything up and went to hit the starter and nothing. the motor didnt turn over or anything. so i checked all the wires and plugs and wiggled them around a bit and hit the starter again and still nothing. i then thought it was the battery so i bought a new one and hooked it up and still nothing. i looked over every wire and i noticed on one of the wires coming from the key switch that the copper wire was black, but the casing was not burnt up. could that be my problem??? i'd appreciatte all the help i could get. thanks.
