Tracking International (TI) and BFGoodrich® Tires
To Bring SCORE Baja 500 to the World

Off-Road Entertainment-based Site to Web Cast Live Coverage
of Race and Baja Legacy Party at Horsepower Ranch

May 25, 2010 – The second event in a unique 2010 partnership between SCORE International, BFGoodrich Tires and Tracking International (TI), next week’s Web coverage of the 42nd Tecate SCORE Baja 500 will give motorsports enthusiasts around the world unprecedented access to one of the longest running and most prestigious off-road races on the international calendar.
The Web site http://www.trackinginternational.com/news/score/ has planned two days of live video coverage, highlighted by exclusive live Web cast of the prestigious Baja Legacy Hall of Fame induction ceremony held at Ensenada , Baja , Mexico ’s Horsepower Ranch on Thursday evening, June 3rd.
Launched last March at the Mastercraft Safety Tecate San Felipe 250, the partnership’s purpose is to bring the legendary SCORE desert race series direct to fans and to the racing community. In addition to an enhanced live satellite tracking page that will monitor all of the 275 plus vehicles expected to start next week’s SCORE Baja 500, scheduled for June 4-6, 2010 . Tracking International’s site will provide actual race course prerun video and photography; two streaming audio channels webcasting live event coverage and unofficial timing and scoring in 50-mile intervals. In addition, TI will set up a special remote WIFI service in Ensenada for Friday’s prerace activities and Saturday’s start-finish line to allow race teams the ability to monitor their vehicles. The live race coverage also provides visitors to the site, which can be accessed via BFGoodrich Tires’ “Nation of GO” site and SCORE International, pre-race interviews, live streaming of the Baja 500 start/finish finish line and a chat room for teams to post updates on their drivers.
In addition to the race coverage, TI today announced an exclusive partnership with event organizers to provide an exclusive live Webcast of the now legendary Baja Legacy event at Horsepower Ranch on Thursday, June 3rd from 6:00pm-9:00pm . The coverage will include a direct video and audio feed of the on-stage Hall of Fame induction ceremony that this year will include the BFGoodrich Tires brand (celebrating its 35th anniversary racing in Baja with SCORE), the Herbst family and five-time SCORE Baja 1000 winner Mark McMillin. TI’s Web cast will also include on-site interviews with event VIPs, corporate sponsors and members of the large crowd expected at Horsepower Ranch for the festivities. TI’s coverage will be co-hosted by Baja Legacy co-founder and Dirt Sports Magazine Editorial and Marketing Director Marty Fiolka, also a noted off-road racing historian. The Baja Legacy events began as part of the SCORE Baja 500 weekend in 2003, and Horsepower Ranch’s Carrera Cantina is adorned with a prestigious Hall of Fame that includes the sport’s biggest names. This year’s Baja Legacy event is being presented by Wide Open Excursions, Dirt Sports Magazine, BFGoodrich Tires, Weddle Industries, Eibach Springs and Norman Motorsports.
The three-way partnership with SCORE and TI is an extension of BFGoodrich Tires’ NationofGO.com, an enthusiast-driven online community that focuses on sharing the passion for driving and performance. Founded in 2004, Tracking International is a sister company to Irvine-based International Race Consultants (IRC) which provides race tracking, multimedia content and safety monitoring to promoters teams and fans for extreme sporting events held in remote locations. At last year’s Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, the site generated traffic numbers that exceeded 300,000 page views originating from 71 countries for its innovative live event coverage.
“This growing partnership with SCORE International and BFGoodrich Tires was set forth in fine style at the kick-off race in San Felipe, but our efforts at the upcoming SCORE Baja 500 greatly enhances the experience to our international audience,” said TI co-founder Steve Myers. “The TI mission is to expand our capabilities and incorporate new technology as quickly as possible. Ours is a business that constantly evolving, but the bottom line is making our audience feel as if they are part of the whole Baja experience. Our plans for the SCORE Baja 500 are another positive step in that direction.”
