it looks to me that the 84 PV cylinder will bolt up directly to the trx250r bottom end. can anyone confirm this?

Yes.

You have to disable the powervalve assembly.

why doesnt the powervalve assembly work in conjunction with the trx bottom end?

do you know how i could contact that guy? i would like to do that cause im running one of those CR cylinders... just not with the PV's
