gas cap

hi everyone ive tried searching but the 4 letter minimum is a pain in the *** im lookin to get a billet replacement gas cap for my 86 but all the ones ive found so far are for the 88-89 is there one from an other model atv or dirtbike that is known to fit
all the help i can get will great thanks frank

dont know if it will help but i was told a 400ex or 540r cap would fit on my 89 and the 400 cap worked. so i would guess they might be the same for the 86

All years of 250r should work.

86 cap is bigger. I would also like to know what else would work.

I've been down this road. The 86/87 are different from the 88/89. Here is a list of caps that do work.
