So the things is very nice,
No case damage.

I was told the starter was bad,but I can't get this thing to even push start or the motor to turn during a push start.

Is there any where I can wrench the motor over?

I removed the cam cover and tried there, with no luck and with the plug out to help.

Before i rip the topend off, what are the chances the bottom end would be locked up?
He said it did smoke and he went to start it 3-4 days ago and it just started to click,he said the smoke went away after a few min.

The oil is not low,any ideas before break down?

I was wondering if it seized in the topend,or is hug up,like a broken ring snagged a exhaust port.

Any info would be appreciated.

I sprayed the piston down with a penetrating oil,to help free it up,so if anyone has an idea to try to spin this thing over,I am all ears.

I figured out what was wrong, the crank is bad.

Crank bearings and seals or good, the top end looks like new,but the rod bearing is locked down bad.

So it is off to a stroker build now.

Figure 396 should be nice over stock.

link to the kit???

I lucked out and a buddy had a complete motor that I bought for $50 but I don't mind building the other one I have with the failed rod bearing.
